Switzerland of America

This past week we went on a family road trip...and our first stop was Ouray, Colorado!  It did not disappoint.  This little town was surrounded by gorgeous mountains.  The kids enjoyed the hot springs...as did their mom.  Connor said, "Mom, you're going to swim with us?!?"  I said, "Yes, this is my kind of pool!" : )  We enjoyed hiking to a beautiful waterfall with the kids, bike rides, and lots of swimming!  We can't wait to go back!

Old Hundred Mine...Silverton, CO

On our way to Durango we stopped in Silverton, CO to take a mine tour...so cool!  We were issued hard hats, coats, and boarded a little train to head into Old Hundred Mine.  I have to admit it was dark and I didn't realize going a half mile into a mountain might trigger my claustrophobia...but it did.  Once we stopped and I saw there were lots of lanterns lit and I realized I'd be able to stand up completely I was fine and thoroughly enjoyed the tour.  The kids loved it...Connor was our tour guide's little helper and got to check out all the old machinery used by the miners.  The kids and dad also also got to dig for gold after the tour.  Mac and Connor decided to ride down the mountain on their bikes while Abby and I waited at the bottom.

Preschool Graduation!

Connor has officially graduated from preschool!  He's so excited to start Kindergarten in the Fall.  Connor had the absolute best teacher and greatest friends in his class.  He was one of 3 boys and surrounded by girls!  Miss Heather told me she "wished she could have a class full of Connor's."  That's the best compliment to a mom!

The Circus

The Circus came to Town!  We had so much fun taking the kids to see the Circus. Both kids were mesmerized by all the stunts, animals, and people they saw. I promised Connor he could ride the elephant and Abby was content riding the pony.  More pictures to come.

Easter

Mother's Day...

I had a wonderful Mother's Day beginning with breakfast in bed made by my sweet husband... who I'm sure had a little help from 2 sweet kids!  We went to church, had a nap, enjoyed dinner with family, and  had a relaxing day...just what I needed.  I couldn't be happier spending my days with these cute kids!
