Mesa Verde National Park

I forgot I hadn't finished posting on our past road trip.  On our way to Mesa Verde, Abby unexpectedly got car sick and luckily it happened about 2 minutes away from a laundromat.  You'd think she had planned the whole thing because she had a blast running through the laundromat, Sprite in hand, with only a diaper on for about an hour.  Mesa Verde was one of our absolute favorite things we did on our family Road Trip!

Mesa Verde, Spanish for green table, offers a spectacular look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years, from A.D. 600 to 1300. Today the park protects nearly 5,000 known archeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. These sites are some of the most notable and best preserved in the United States.
