"Firsts"

This past weekend included a lot of "firsts"(is that even a word?) for Connor. On Friday August 22, 2008 we celebrated Connor's real 1st Birthday camping! We were at the Burton family reunion and had a great time camping with Connor for the first time. We were a little spoiled though since we didn't have to sleep in a tent. Grandma and Grandpa Burton gave us the bed in the camper which made things so much nicer with our little guy. We had a herd of sheep around the campground and Connor loved listening to all the "Baaas!" On Saturday Aunt Cheryl helped us give Connor his first haircut, which went much smoother than I expected. It looks great, but definitely made him grow up a bit looking more and more like a little boy and less like my little baby. When we got home Saturday evening Connor decided to walk all by himself all around the house. He'd started taking his first steps about 2 weeks ago, but now he's walking with much more confidence and for longer periods of time. His world is certainly starting to change!

Connie is such a cute boy! despite his slightly larger than normal ears. Also, I might recommend cutting back on the birthday cake because he is starting to look less like his uncle Colton and more like his uncle Jared.

They grow up way to fast, before you kow it they are in highschool and they think they know everything.
To bad we are so far, it would be nice to do some things together.

I can't believe he is one already! Goodness. I have two more months until my second. Getting excited. Alaska misses you, but I know that Utah has perks too. Cami Anderson is looking for you. She didn't know you were in Utah. Take care!

Y'all are such a beautiful family! I'm still feeling guilty about PACKING UP the moving boxes we promised Mac as he slaved away helping us load our truck. We felt like heels when we got up here and saw boxes galore we didn't need. I hope you'll forgive us--we've enjoyed reading about all the fantastic things you've been up to the past year. I wish we could've met Connor in person--what a handsome guy!
